“One bump or two?” It was the late 70’s when Simon Anderson pulled into the Huntington Beach parking lot at the Katin PRO/AM and revealed the three-fin thruster to California. The design has gone through many changes; the Bump 2 is reflective of the design that revolutionized the surfing world. The “Bumps” break the board’s outline just in front of the fins giving more curve. The theory is, the more curve you have on the rail, the less rail you have in the water, the less rail you have in the water, the tighter of an arc you can make. Single to double barrel concave.
